Starting next week we will be launching a new discussion topic each week here at YouthMinBlog.com.
Here is how this whole thing is going to go down. We want this blog to be an organic and relaxed atmosphere. That means that some weeks there will be a whole bunch of posts from the authors and on some weeks there may be only one post. The most important thing is that we all keep an open mind, engage in discussion by asking questions and sharing experiences. Discussion is not simply telling others what you think or how to do things.
That is how we will grow as youth workers.
One of my favorite parts about this experiment is the diversity among our authors. Of course it could always be more diverse but this group includes youth workers:
- From New York to California
- From 2 years experience to 29 years experience
- Multiple theological backgrounds
- Both men & women
- Different ethnic backgrounds
- Urban, suburban, and rural church settings
- And many more differences!
So much to learn when we bring all of our different backgrounds together!
How do you think you will benefit from this experiment?

Hey Everybody,
I'm just looking forward to having a sounding board for bouncing ideas off of.
Oh, I'm also going to steal all of your best ideas.
Thanks for that in advance.
I am excited about learning from others. I think my main focus here will be to collaborate with others in the hopes of sharing goods and bads from my history and learning the same from others. I have found in my few short years in ministry that we cannot be a cookie cutter approach and we need to learn from others and apply accrdingly to where God has us individually.
I also hope Chris finds a different pic of me to use. Although I did think it was funny when it was taken, I now cringe when I see it since I am always telling my 5 year old to get his finger out of his nose, lol. As a father i should set the example right?
Should have deleted it from your Facebook bro
I'll change it soon enough!
